Dr. Abi Assadi offers over 30 years of experience as an executive leader,  technology developer, an educator, a strategic planner, and a professional engineer in design, retrofit, and construction of infrastructures, buildings, civil works, products, and specialty projects such as blast and explosion resistant structures, industrial, food and chemical processing plants, and plate and shell structures.  

Specifically, he has been involved in the design, project management, retrofit, and construction of renewable energy (wind, solar, biomass) and conventional power plants, resource recovery, and many other projects in the US and around the world.

Dr. Assadi has devoted considerable time in developing and utilizing efficient and robust technologies such as bio-digestion for improving our clients’ bottom line as well as the environment and quality of life for people in general.

Dr. Assadi holds a Ph.D., an M.S. (with high distinction), and a B.S. (with high distinction) in Civil and Structural Engineering from the College of Science and Engineering (Institute of Technology), University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. USA; he also holds a Mini Executive MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Assadi has received training and certification in ISO 9001 Quality Control System.

Dr. Assadi has served as an advisor on the State of Minnesota International Building Code (IBC) Advisory Board in St. Paul, Minnesota; he served as an educator for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, in Brunswick, Georgia. He has numerous publications and has lectured nationally and internationally on topics such as American Petroleum Institute (API) storage tank design and reconstruction, American Concrete Institute (ACI) structures under impulsive loads, and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) buildings and physical security.

Dr. Assadi holds a patent in anaerobic digestion (waste to energy), issued in 2019 by US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has received numerous awards including the Outstanding Civil Engineer Award in 1982 from the American Society of Civil Engineers.

He has served as the chief executive officer (CEO) for several companies over the span of two decades.

Mr. Scheglowski is a professional engineer with nearly 20 years of experience in client and project management and structural design of new and restoration design of aging buildings and structures. His expertise includes industrial facilities, high-rise buildings, secondary and higher education buildings, parking ramps, healthcare and institutional facilities, airport terminal buildings and pavements, houses of worship, retail developments, skyways and pedestrian bridges. Mr. Scheglowski has expertise in building renovation design, structural building and site condition surveys, forensic studies and analysis, cost estimating, developing and expanding client relationships, representing clients in legal disputes, and 3-D laser scanning of buildings of all sizes and types. He has experience in both traditional and non-traditional wastewater treatment plant projects and traditional energy and renewable energy projects. Mr. Scheglowski plays a vital role in business development and expanding opportunities for Clark through foresight and leadership with resource recovery and renewable energy as a catalyst leading to the development of Clark Technology.

Mr. Kian is Chairman of Clark Technology, CEO of Apadana Energy, Co-founder/President of Apadana LLC, Chairman of U.S. Luminaire LLC, Inner Lighting LLC, Agility Lighting, and ATEK Distribution LLC. Mr. Kian is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in Management of Technology. He has over 30 years of Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership experience with Fortune 500 companies such as DataCard, Emerson Electric, and TTX. His passion for efficiency, lean enterprise, and sustainability drives the strategies, objectives, and business success.
